don't stop me now

I went out yesterday. which is harder than it sounds when you don't really have anywhere to go. I took an art class last semester, and I loved it. but you know there really isn't anything out there for us stay at homes. like class wise. unless I really want to go back to school, which I don't. I don't want to have to ... ugh study. everything I want to do is geared to evenings and weekends. which I already have covered thanks. Dragon Age Inquisition ain't gonna play itself you know. seriously, I am bereft of learning experiences. if anyone has any ideas BRING IT.

in other news, pickles has been able to get up on the couch by himself for the last little while which has improved his quality of life immeasurably. baby steps baby girl, baby steps.

improvs improvs improvs! But you know I have a one-track hobby :) Have you ever thought about making your OWN crafty class for stay-at-homes and oldies? Or, auditing a class somewhere post-secondary? I think you can do that during the day and not just continuing ed in the evenings. I was amazed at how interesting the sound class was last summer, especially the sciency bits. But there are all sorts of niche literature classes that would be like an intense book club, art classes (with naked people!), women's studies, language, astronomy... check out the u of c catalogue. My dream job is student. I should do this too. But you first :)

And also you should have a podcast. The world needs to hear your voice and I need talent to edit! A podcast of salty and vulgar knitters would be awesome. Bring your friends

I want to student too Christine. but I've never audited anything. it's mostly the classes at ACAD that infuriate me. this requires more pondering and ass kicking from you please.

Maybe you should start a type of "bee" for during the day (like a knitting/sewing/baking/crafting bee). It could be like a once or twice a month, bring your own project kind of thing and you could do it during the day. And we could pool our knowledge if we wanted to learn new things. I bet if you put some feelers out, you could get a little group together. Does something like that interest you? I've thought about doing it (and am still thinking about it), but it's hard for me to commit to hosting something when we are away so much - especially in the summer.
I think there are some day art classes at Swinton's, and if you ever want to learn to quilt - the Sewing Room does quilting classes - some of which are during the day.

I have thought about something like the Heather. but my house is pretty darn small (you been here, you know!) and I too worry about commitment. and sometimes with a chronic condition I am too sore or grumpy. but you know, I do like the idea of putting our heads together and thinking up stuff. we should TOTALLY DO THAT. xo
