Love list and why family is always fair game

I knit my Dad some socks. Well, I knit some socks that fit my Dad. They were originally going to be for me but I thought the colour wasn't me, so maybe I'd just keep knitting them and give 'em to Chris. I measured and measured, and turned the heel and kept going. NOPE. But hey! my Dear Ol' Dad has relatively small feet* and so off they went. I always ask that people take pictures of them with their knitted stuff.. then I know they get worn at least once. :) This is what he sends me. My cheeky Dad. The photo was accompanied by a note that says, here I am ready for summer. A chick magnet. I seriously don't know how my Mom held it together to take the pic. Oh Pops, you rock! That why Socks that Rock (in Velvet Grape) suits suits you to T. See? The cheeky apple doesn't fall far from the cheeky tree does it? I reckon he wouldn't have sent the pictures if he didn't want the world (all 7 of you that read this) to see. I love my Dad.

Not a lot of fibre Friday to show you as I still have it on the wheel hidden from the painting bomb, but love list? Oh yeah..

The fact that with this convalescence Chris watched the food network, flip this house and the slice channel. I can deal with that!

Fridays Love list: (I wrote love lost at first)

-Torani Brown Sugar Cinnamon Sugar Free Syrup. take that Cinnabon.

-Pickleskin rugs and Maxi shakesalot.

-soft soft sweatpants.

-skinny Cow Ice Cream sammiches.

-extra cinnamon chewing gum.

-coffee, sweet sweet coffee.

-frozen snickers bars with almonds.

-hand knit ginormous house socks.

-stuff in the mail that ain't bills and are just for me

-the burn after chipping away the last of the winter ice on the back walk.

As you can see, there has been a lot of not much going on. Chris' recovery is taking alot longer than we hoped and he is driving me going a bit batshit crazy with the slowness. Guess who is not cut out to be a Florence Nightingale? I mean, I think I am ok at it, but the whole doing EVERYTHING for someone for weeks on end? Dishes, laundry, picking up, catering, fetching and carrying? I grow weary. I feel like I need a vacation from this. I am wiped out. :/ Wow the outpouring of wah wah is somewhat unexpected but I shall leave it here for my own shame. I mean dude, I am so not the one who had the awfulness happen, I should really suck it up. Woe is not me right?

Which leads me to Fibre Friday! Last Friday, I was really up in it, dyeing/weighing/skeining/sorting at least 20 pounds of it for our next shop update. So you'll have to make do with a little more than a weeks worth!
